Results for the 50k and 10 mile races are on rochestertrackclub.com I'll  put the 5k results up ASAP. I know there are some people that ran longer whose times are going to be way off. I'll do the best I can to figure them out. Some people ran a short 5k and some ran out to the dam which is about 5+ miles

Wow! You guys are keeping me busy recording registrations. We are breaking records for numbers of Preregistered runners. Thank You!
There are 8 states represented in our races, Minnesota, Wisconsin,North Carolina, Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, and today we have our first runner from Alaska. Welcome!!!
Weather couldn't be any more perfect with temps starting out in the low 50's and rising to only 74.

Packet Pick Up

Because of the long lines at the registration table last year. We are going to have a packet/bib/tee shirt/cap  pick up at the Running Room store at 711 South Broadway.Stop in between 5:00PM and 7:00PM on Friday June 1st the day before the race.You can also register at the store that night.
Once you get your bib# you will be ready to toe the line for whichever race you're entering.
While your in the store check out the accessories Gu, Socks, Body Gide etc... The Running Room has the best selection or running gear in the area.
There will still be same day registration or packet pick up at picnic shelter # 6 at the park, starting at 7:00AM
50kers can pick up their packets starting at 5:00AM, there is no race day registration for the 50k

Muscle Milk

Chester Woods Races welcomes the gang from Muscle Milk! They will be handing out samples after the races.

C.W. 10 Mile is part of the USATF series

If you run the Chester Woods 10 mile race and are a member of USATF ( U.S.A Track and Field) you are eligible to score points in the MUT (Mountain Ultra Trail) series.

Six states and counting

As of today there are six states represented at the Chester Woods Races. South Dakota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota. We will all be united on June 2nd at Beautiful Chester Woods Park. I am estimating about 400 runners to be traversing the woods on race day.
Remember prices go up in May go to; on line registration to sign up. If you want to mail in a registration use the discounted prices shown at the on line site and mail it in.

Fools Five

Congrats to all the people that participated in the Fools Five races this weekend. Wow! almost 3100 people running and walking for a great cause. It was great seeing a lot of old friends and meeting a bunch of new ones. Hope to see a bunch of you on June 2nd. It sounds like the trails at Chester Woods will be hopping with a crazed runners again this year.

Strong Kids Campaign Run

Once again my friend Jim Parry is stepping up and helping kids that would not normally be able to afford taking part in Rochester Family Y programs do so. Jim will be running 16 hours on a treadmill just inside the Y lobby.The run will be taking place next Friday, March 9th, from 5am - 9pm.  2 other treadmills will again be set up for others to join him. All the info about this run can be found at http://mrparrysendurancechallenge.blogspot.com

Early Deals Part II

Because of the huge success of the Early Entry Deals from Dec through Feb. ( We have over 50 people registered so far) We will have some bargains through the month of April.
$20.00 for the 50k and $17.00 for the 5k/ 10 mile. There are also discounts for families, seniors and youths that aren't reflected on the printable paper forms.You can also take $2.00 off if you are a Rochester Track Club member. The Running Room has many options for pricing and this year I'm using all of them.
If you still want to mail in an entry just use the prices that are shown on the Running Room web page and send it in.
It's going to be a great time this year I'm estimating between 400-500 people for all three events and the weather is always perfect at Chester Woods.
Where else can you run a fully supported 50k on beautiful trails for just $20.00?  :)

Early Entry Deals

I'm doing a little experimenting with some early entry deals and youth/senior discounts this year.
You can find these deals by clicking on the Running Room on-line registration link in the right column. The Running Room on line entry website has many options so I thought why not give it a try to try to avoid the chaos of everybody signing up on race day. Sign up before Feb 28th to get the best deal.

The 50k will be only $17.00 through Feb 28th then the price goes up to $25.00
The 10 mile/5k is only $15.00 through Feb 28th then the price goes up to $20.00

Youth, under 18, and seniors, over 60, can sign up for only $10.00 for the 10 mile/5k through Feb 28, then the price goes up to $15.00

Because there are so many families that like to run the Chester woods races we have a family deal.
$50.00 for the first 4 members then 10.00 for each additional family member.

Take advantage of these early entry deals. It really helps to have your race organized when you know how many people to expect.
