We were going to run the trails at Eastwood but there are some mountain bike time trials out there on Tuesday.
Instead we'll meet at the Nature Center at Quarry Hill at 6:15PM. There are some really nice ski trails out there with very few roots, rocks, etc...
Any questions send me an e-mail or call me

Willow Res, Run
I found out that the Google map shows the wrong street for directions to Willow Creek Reservoir. Lone Pine Drive is the actual name of the street that leads to the parking lot.I sincerely apologise if anyone had problems getting to the Tuesday run.I do keep my cell phone with me if you have any problems getting to a trail run , give me a call.
Katie Mark and I had another picture perfect day for a trail run around the reservoir. There were a lot of fishermen around the shore and a few dogs enjoying the trails also.
Here is a slideshow of our run.

Essex Park
What a fun run at Essex Park last night. Nine of us ran a nice loop around Essex park. The trails out there are really smooth and wide.It was great to see everyone out there and when you have Hurricane and Tom O'Leary along the time just goes by too fast. You can see a great slide show of our trail run on the Team Red website.

New Routes
Matt "hurricane" Schrader and I ran the new 10 mile rout last night. I can say I'm exited for people to see what I've changed. All the good stuff is still there, beautiful views of the valley, the bridges over the creek, and of course there's still that hill:-) I eliminated some of the meadow runs and the stretch by the road. and added a long, long winding downhill at mile 4.75.Rather than finishing before the bridge we will run across the bridge through the fisherman's parking area and follow the Chester Woods Lake Trail back to the registration area. This will make for a more organised finish and make scoring the race easier. You will be closer to bathrooms, showers, and the beach if its hot.
The start is also backed up near the registration area so there is a little longer run on the road which will help stretch out the crowd before you hit the trails.
I plan on having a much more festive atmosphere at the finish area which will accommodate a larger area for crowds to cheer runners across the finish line.

Congratulations
Congratulations to all who participated in the area races this weekend. What perfect weather we had. I had a great time helping out at the Fetzer Memorial runs and doing a little promoting at the Fools Five. It had to be a record breaking day at Fools Five there were a ton of people at the race, all for a very worthy cause.
I plan on getting my running with a 10 miler tonight at Chester Woods and of course I hope to see some people at Essex Park tomorrow for our Tuesday Trail Run.
It was great to see old friends and met some new ones this weekend.
Good Luck to all the BOSTON marathoners next Monday.

Tuesday trail runs
Starting next Tuesday I will try to get a group of people together to run some trails at various spots near Rochester. I plan on starting with some very easy trails so someone without a lot of trail running experience can get started. hopefully we get enough people that we can have differnt speeds and distances. We will leave no one behind, I have no problem running a little slower. If you are a lot faster than me, your on your own :-) April 13th at 6:00 we will start at Essex Park. There are maps of the trails on the links to the right.
